Welcome to our farm! We are located on 238 beautiful acres in Lafayette, Indiana.
This is our primary facility. It includes our offices, the fitting and lambing room, and individual feeding pens. In addition to that, it is also used for grain, hay and equipment storage. It was constructed in several different phases between 1994 and 1997.
The lamb/fitting room can be heated and cooled to exact temperatures. A fan system is also used to keep a constant flow of fresh air within the building.
The "Red Barn" was on the farm when it was purchased in 1989. It is the only original structure still in place.
Mithoefer Dorsets raises it's own hay. We put up approximately 1,000 bales of alfalfa hay a year.
The entrance to the farm has been completely excavated and re-fenced. "Todal Fence" from Logansport, Indiana has spent many years building new high tensile fencing.
"Amos" came from the Kuykendall Family of Wisconsin. We haven't raised Great Pyrenees pups in a few years, but he his an important part of predator prevention.
Stan and Kay built their dream home on the farm in 2004. So much for downsizing!
